What is the Vienna Marathon?
The Vienna City Marathon is one of the biggest spring marathons in Europe. The route runs along Vienna's Ringstraße, past Schönbrunn Palace and St. Stephen's Cathedral, and through the Prater – a run through Vienna's imperial history and its green spaces.
The route through Vienna
From Schönbrunn Palace, the route heads into the city centre, along the grand Ringstraße past St. Stephen's Cathedral, before continuing through the Prater and along the Danube Canal back to the finish. Historic buildings and wide green spaces alternate throughout the entire distance.

Preparation
